Possible questions
(General)
"What does it mean to be 'more than one'?"
This is an easy way to say that a person considers themselves more than one [insert some term, such as identity, entity, or terms associated with the person's culture] without ultimately excluding someone's cultural experience as "more than one.""This experience of being 'more than one' is temporary (like possessions). Can I still consider myself 'Many'?"
Absolutely! It doesn't have to be a permanent identity/entity/etc. on your body for you to consider yourself "Many"."Can I use that term if I'm white?"
If you are white but not Western, are mixed-race, or part of a marginalized ethnic group or religion, yes! If you are simply white, reflect on whether this makes sense in relation to your experiences."Can I consider myself Many if this experience only came later in life (such as religious conversion, reconnection, etc.)?"
For sure!"Can I substitute it with a word from my language?"
Yes! Absolutely, you can use "Muchos" in Spanish, "Muitos" in Portuguese, or any other language you feel more comfortable with or that conveys your experience better than "Many" in english. Also, if you don't want an English word, but don't want to use the word "Many" in a specific language, you can use "Multaj".
